Crochet for your portfolio: Finger Weaving

We are preparing your portfolios and, to tie up all the plastic bags together (with your assignements, vocabulary and reflection sheets inside), we decided to create a ribbon with wool. Something similar to crochet.

FINGER WEAVING:
Finger Weaving: This is a very easy way to create a ribbon because you only have to use your fingers. Here you will find the lesson in a pdf file.

We've done it with ONLY ONE FINGER! Now your are experts on the subjet!
1st A, B and C working hard!

AMIGURUMI
By the way, Santiago's mother (Santiago is from 1st A ESO) has lent me these wonderful crochet dolls to be displayed on our blog:

AMIGURUMI on PhotoPeach

Aren't they lovely?

This technique is called amigurumi. Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. Amigurumi are typically animals, but can include artistic renderings or inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features, as is typical in Japanese culture.
Here you are a wonderful blog about amigurumi, with free patterns.
